Ouch. Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch.
I am officially as stiff as a board, and feeling an odd mix of elated and totally fed up. It hasn’t been long since I started, but I’m already feeling the benefits.
However, I must admit I have pretty much naffed off the ‘walking to work’ thing. By the time I’d got to Curves I was already kernackered and the guys there told me to do it for at least a month before trying to take on more. So, reluctantly (yeah right), I decided to knock it on the head and get a parking permit in town again ![]()
Food wise I am being incredibly good. The Curves book also states to give the workout regime a good month before doing the diet, but I’m ignoring that rule and doing it all now. Such a rebel! Notice how quick I am to give up on the hard stuff and ignore the advice to tell me to stop the easy bit (believe it or not, I don’t find dieting hard, as I don’t tend to eat crap anyway).
So, that’s me. No weightloss to report yet, in fact poss even a slight gain, but that cannot be anything but muscle cos I’ve been eating nothing but raw spinach, lean meat and the odd bit of fruit, lol.
I met the owner of Curves for the first time last night, Richard. He seemed alright, although it’s odd having a bloke running a women’s only health centre! :S
I was quite chuffed though cos he was inducting a new girl, and we got chatting and he thought I’d been going for months because my technique was so good and I was managing really well… when I told him it was only my third workout he was stunned. Always nice to get that reaction, however staged it may have been ![]()
Ok - so I think that will do for today. I can barely walk, lol, but otherwise it’s all good, and I haven’t been put off yet. Plus I am aiming for that tote bag!*
*For any that don’t know Curves, they give you a free Tote bag if you tot up 12 workouts in your first month. I don’t really want the Tote bag if truth be known, but it’s an incentive, and i’ll take anything I can at the moment!!
